Health Club Terms of Use
1 All members and guests using the pool, gym and other health club facilities do so entirely at their own risk.
2 All members and guests are advised to read and follow the health and safety information on signs and equipment within the club.
3 Any form of medical condition, accident or incident must be reported immediately to the health club reception.
4 All towels and health club equipment must be returned to reception.
5 No swearing or abusive language will be tolerated.
6 No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere in the health club.
7 No creams, lotions or oils are to be used in the sauna and steam room. Talcum powder must not be used in the sauna or toilet areas.
8 No drinking glasses, glass bottles or food are to be taken in the gym, changing rooms or wet areas.
9 Any padlocks left on lockers overnight will be removed.
10 If you lose your locker key, a £10 charge will be made.
11 Guests and members are liable for any damage caused to health club equipment.
12 If you damage the lockers in any way whilst using the facilities, you will be liable for the cost of repair.
13 We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any equipment or valuables belonging to any member or any guests which have been brought into the health club.
14 You are not permitted to use the health club when under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entrance to the health club and or asked to leave.
15 Cameras, camcorders or phone cameras must not be used in the health club. Mobile phones must not be used in the changing rooms, gym or wet areas.
16 No unauthorised persons are allowed behind the reception desk or into the back office.
17 Only those aged 18 years old and over are permitted to use the sunbeds and a record card must be completed prior to use. Eye protection must be worn on our sunbeds and these are available from the health club reception. The British Medical Association advises to limit sunbed use to no more than 20 sessions per year. If you decide to exceed this amount, you do so at your own risk.
18 Entry into the hair and beauty salons is restricted to those with an appointment.
19 At least one hour should pass after eating before using our gymnasium, swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room.
20 Please be aware last entrance to the health club is one hour before closing and all facilities close 30 minutes prior to closing. The changing rooms remain open until closing.
21 If the member or guest is unfamiliar with any equipment or does not know the correct way to use or adjust a piece of equipment, they must seek assistance from the leisure attendants before using the equipment. All members and guests must only use equipment they are familiar with and know how to use correctly.
22 Correct gym attire must be worn in the gym at all times.
23 Pools, saunas, steam rooms, spa baths and wet areas are not supervised at all times. There is not always a lifeguard on duty. Some pools do not have a lifeguard. We strongly advise you do not swim alone. If you do wish to swim alone, you must inform the health club reception.
24 Correct swimming attire must be worn when using any of the wet areas.
25 No snorkels or fins allowed in the pool. No inflatables allowed unless it is a recognised swimming aid.
26 No shaving in wet areas.
27 All persons using the sauna, steam room, spa bath and swimming pool must shower beforehand.
28 No running, diving or bombing is permitted in or around the swimming pool. Consideration for other bathers is appreciated.
29 An adult must accompany all children under the age of 16 at all times.
30 Please contact the leisure centre reception to confirm the children swim times. Children under 16 may only use the health club within designated hours.
31 Children under the age of 16 years old are not permitted to use the gymnasium, hot tub, sauna and steam room.
32 Children under the age of 16 years old are only permitted to use the swimming pool whilst accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 4 years must be supervised on a one-to-one basis.
33 All adults are responsible for their child’s behaviour.
34 Children that are not toilet trained are required to wear double swim nappies in the pool.
