The kids have gone back to school, Summer is gone, and Christmas is too far away; September can really be a doozy. So, why not whip up some excitement for the whole family and book a day at one of the UK's best waterparks?

Sandcastle Waterpark located on the Blackpool front is the UK's largest indoor waterpark. With 18 attractions across the park, there is something for everyone, from tiny toddlers to adrenaline junkies. It even has its own lazy river so you can sit back, relax and be calmly taken by the tide.

There are four great Britannia Hotels on the Blackpool front, all a 10-minute drive away from the waterpark. The closest hotel is Britannia Metropole Hotel, which is the ideal place for you to relax and get some much-needed sleep after a day of excitement.

Bournemouth's own Splashdown Waterpark has 13 thrilling attractions both indoors and outdoors. It also has three splash zones for children under 5, so they can get in on the action too! If you want a major thrill, you can embark on the 40 metre slide known as The Screamer or try to hold your nerve on Velocity as you take a 30-foot drop. There are also gentler options for those who wish to take a more relaxing approach such as chilling in the Jacuzzi or on the Bubble Bench.

There are no less than five Britannia Hotels in Bournemouth, meaning you can choose from an array of hotels and have the best break possible. Dating back to the 11th century, Belvoir Castle is rich with British history. You can take a trip around the grounds, take a peep in the luxurious dining room, opulent grand ballroom and even enter Duke's room which is home to over 16,000 books, manuscripts and maps.

There are an array of events happening at Belvoir Castle throughout the year which allow you to discover deeper parts of the castle as well as enjoy activities on the grounds.
