      Aberdeen has plenty of attractions to keep you busy - from historic castles to discovering some of the world’s finest Whisky distilleries, there are plenty of activities appealing to all ages, local residents and new visitors alike.

Duff House, Castle Fraser, Craigievar Castle and the world famous Balmoral Castle are all must see places to visit.

      Craigievar Castle

      This 17th Century seven-storey Castle is a historical phenomenon, with the one of greatest crafted plasterwork ceilings ever made. Its distinctive salmon-coloured exterior makes it instantaneously prominent with a classic fairy-tale feel. Set against the Grampian Mountains, it features beautifully sculpted turrets and gargoyles, with its interior containing the Great Hall, magnificent fireplaces and period furnishings, secret staircases and a collection of antiquated family portraits.

      Linn O’Dee

      A great place to pack a picnic and enjoy a leisurely stroll, the Linn O’Dee has many walking trails along the flowing woodland river, with waterfalls that trickle into stunning translucent rock pools and allow ramblers to dip their toes in the pure waters amongst the beautiful backdrop of nature.       Sweeping sand dunes and beachy shores can be entirely yours for the day! With 16km of pure coastline, Balmedie Beach is seldom crowded and allows families from all over to find a quiet spot with nothing but themselves and the ocean’s lapping waves in view for miles. You can build an almighty sand castle at your own leisure, fly kites or even go crabbing!
