The newly opened First Direct Arena is a unique and truly fantastic arena where visitors and locals alike can watch all their favourite acts. Leeds Pride, a lively and colourful event celebrating the city's gay scene,  also takes place every August. 

Light Night has quickly become one of the most popular events, as city dwellers get to see and experience Leeds in a completely new light. Artists and art organisations come together with the support of the Council and public institutions, in order to produce a spectacular display of electrics in a nightime setting.

Guests can even use Leeds as the perfect base for big events nearby. Every August the hugely popular Leeds festival takes place in Wetherby, so why not stay in the comfort of a hotel for the duration? There are also many events held nearby in Bradford, like the annual Science Festival and Pride Parade, so visitors could always pop across for a day out with the family.
