Step back in time to explore this early 17th century house and its gardens and see how people lived 400 years ago. Explore the furnished rooms, handle the objects and talk to the team to discover what life was like for the Digby’s in the 1620s. Surrounding the House, are period gardens and an area of woodland planted as part of the development of the National Forest. The gardens, re-created in a 17th century style, include flower and herb gardens, an ornamental maze and an orchard, with informative and entertaining labels on all the plants and trees.
Bosworth Water Trust lies to the west of the town and hosts a fantastic day out for all ages. This 50 acre leisure park consists of large lakes which can be utilized for carp fishing, sailing and other energetic water sports. It also has camping and caravan facilities, log cabins, a pirate play area and golden beaches. Whether visitors want to take a stroll in the sand or sail through splashing waters, there are a number of facilities available to compliment a fun day.

The Market Bosworth Light Railway is a remarkable steam-train line, which runs quietly through the countryside from Shackerstone Station to Shenton Station. In the station yard sits a collection of restored steam locomotives and vintage diesel engines for visitors to look at. Twycross Zoo is set in over 80 acres of land, with 500 animals and almost 150 species available to see. Why not come to see the only world primate centre in the UK, or visit the walk-through ring-tailed lemur enclosure? With 280 acres of parkland and lakes, the theme park hosts some of the UK’s scariest adrenalin pumping rides, as well as live family entertainment in the Drayton Manor theatres and Europe’s very first Thomas The Tank Engine Land.
