WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre in Southport

Southport Hotel Martin Mere

Special Offer: Guests staying at Prince of Wales Hotel can enter Martin Mere at a special discounted rate of £4.15 per person. Please ask for a voucher at the hotel reception.

WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre is where wilderness and family-friendliness combine. In spring, visit the award winning Downy Duckling experience as flamingo chicks grow and ducklings and gosling appear as we open the duckling nursery.  In winter, many thousands of wild ducks, geese and swans are drawn to the internationally-rated wetlands, offering spectacular displays of feather and flight. But there is plenty to see and do at Martin Mere all year round, with more than 100 types of rare and endangered water-birds, a family of beavers and enchanting otters in residence, two imaginative playgrounds for young adventurers as well as den building and an inspirational eco-garden.
