Visit one of the first privately owned castles in the region at Castle Howard, York and browse round the beautiful landscaped gardens and take a look at the elegantly decorated rooms.
The town hosts the Annual Student Drama Festival at the Stephen Joseph Theatre and the Spa Complex.
This is also the famous resting place for Anne Bronte along with her family. There is a plaque above the Grand Hotel Scarborough commemorate her death.
