Bosworth is famous for it's flower Displays, Agriculture, Horticultural and Equestrian Society. The name of Bosworth is associated with the famous battle 'War of the Roses' which took place in 1485, a few miles from the Market Town. King Richard III at the throne lost his crown to Henry Tudor, Earl of Richmond, making Bosworth famous for it's battlefield. Market Bosworth is also mentioned in the Domesday Book and granted a charter in 1285 for holding fairs and markets, which to this day retains its original charm and character.
