Culture In Folkestone
Home to the popular Lower Leas Coastal Park boasting a wild, fun
and formal zones in the park. The Wild Zone is home to a variety of
Plants, Insect and Birds. The Fun Zone has loads for the children
to do with a play area that has been designed to blend in with the
natural landscape. The Formal Zone consists of 5 acres of
picturesque gardens, some formal and semi-formal and meadows. The
semi-formal gardens create a Mediterranean ambience with a mix of
exotic shrubs and trees.
Visit the dramatic cliffs of Dover where Samphire Hoe has been formed with the creation of the Eurotunnel.
The Folkestone Museum and Art Gallery displays local and natural History including exhibits from World War 1 and 11.
Or you could visit the Chistlehurst Caves where you are guided by lamplight through these unique man made cliffs.
